Pre-site & Layout
Once the design & permitting is complete, these plans are carefully marked out in your yard so we can see the exact placement before the dig. The layout person has precise measurements to make sure that the new pool is built to within inches of what is shown on the site plan. Other important details are marked out and you will have a chance to see the proposed new pool prior to excavation. Our crew then comes to carefully remove furniture and any other items, take care of any necessary demolition, and prepare the surface for excavation.
Plumbing
After the excavation we begin work on the plumbing & equipment set. Plumbing is one of the most critical aspects of building a pool. This step can involve hundreds of feet of Schedule 40 PVC and takes careful calculation. The plumbing process can take anywhere from 1 to 3 days and involves careful installation by our experienced plumber and crew.
Electrical
After the pool plumbing & steel work is complete, the electrical phase of the project can begin. This involves safely bringing in all electrical aspects to your new pool. Our electricians arrive to install the electrical components of your chosen features. This includes any lights, time clocks, sub-panels, outlets for equipment or outdoor kitchens / BBQs, and proper bonding of all components of the pool to ensure safety. This process usually takes 1 to 2 days.
Coping & Decking
Now that the pool base exists, our expert craftsman install the patios, walkways, coping, decking, and work on other various hardscape structures per design, such as your outdoor kitchen, barbecue counter-top tiles, etc. This process usually takes 3 – 5 days.
Water Features
Water features can be natural rock, artificial rock, block, or stone. The construction process can integrate water features at different points throughout the project, depending on the type of feature. There are many ways to incorporate water features, waterfalls, or fountains into your swimming pool. This process usually takes 1 – 3 days.
Final Inspection
One of the final steps before the interior finish is to make sure that your pool meets all of the requirements, code, and regulations of the city / county, and that everything has been completed safely and properly. This is performed by the city / county inspector and usually takes 1 – 2 days.
Start-Up & Orientation.
Starting the pool up can sometimes take a few days, as this is the time that we ensure that everything is working as planned. The first visit is to get the chemicals added to endure proper water balance and to get the equipment running and programmed correctly.
Once we get everything operating perfectly, we will schedule an appointment to show you how to use your new pool equipment. This meeting takes about an hour, and entails all aspects of what everything is and how it all works.
